The Walk the Talk Cairo: Health for All Challenge returns on 9 October 2023, to provide a healthy kick-start to the 70th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean. WHO’s Walk the Talk initiative is a global movement to promote physical activity as part of a healthy and sustainable future.
This year, Walk the Talk Cairo coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and takes place the day before World Mental Health Day. Together, these events remind us of the important role that physical activity plays in promoting sustained physical and mental health.
As participants set off in step, the goal is to highlight the importance of healthy lifestyles, raise awareness of the pursuit of Health for All and celebrate the importance of partnership – especially this year, as we celebrate WHO’s 75th anniversary.
A healthier tomorrow is within reach when we walk together – and work together.
WHO and its partners in the Health for All Challenge show a shared commitment to get everyone moving for physical and mental health. All around the world, people of all ages and abilities not only Walk the Talk but also jog, dance and move for health – and to call for Health for All by All.
