As part of WHO mandates to support Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Initiatives (PSFHI), a mission was recognized by WHO-Oman in collaboration with MOH-Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) from 21st of November 2021 until 1st of December 2021 in Oman.
The mission will be led by two consultants Dr Catriona Fortune and Dr Bhupendra Kumar Rana who collaboratively will conduct a final assessment of two governmental hospitals on PSFHI: Al Nahda Hospital in Muscat and Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah. The assessment of the hospitals will be complemented by two teams: WHO-Oman and MOH-DGQA and will be conducted according to the PSFHI 2nd manual which will eventually provide to MOH valid recommendations on how to improve the hospital services to be aligned with patients safety guidelines.
