The workshop discussed the adopton of WHO updated packages of interventions for preconception care, family planning, antenatal care and intrapartum care in Libya, as well as updated participants on key linkages to be strengthened for better integration of reproductive and maternal care services along the continuum of care.
Participants endorsed the package of interventions in line with the updated recommendations and a recently developed training manual for master trainers on implementing the package of interventions.
The Ministry of Health expressed its intention to implement the WHO key recommendations regarding women’s health at community, primary, secondary and tertiary health service levels. In addition, it presented its comprehensive and integrated plan of action which delineates strategic actions at national and subnational level. The action plan include key evidence-based, cost-effective and high impact interventions in line with WHO recommendations and national strategy on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and sdolescent health 2019–2023.
