Less than one month ago in December 2017, with ECHO financial support, WHO has provided 60 Basic Interagency Emergency Health Kits (IEHK), 6 supplementary IEHKs along with nine (9) Trauma kit Type B to Al-Jalaa Hospital and 4 Trauma kits Type B to Benghazi Medical Center. Each IEHK serves 10 000 population for 3 months and each trauma kit is designed to treat 100 moderate to severe trauma cases.
WHO is closely following up the humanitarian situation with the local health authorities and stands ready to provide more help if required.
