Training workshop for nurses on national guidelines to prevent and manage noncommunicable diseases

The training comprised theoretical and practical sessions presenting daily life case scenarios.

The training aimed to improve and enhance the skills of nurses and build capacity in detecting NCDs at an earlier stage to reduce the risk of complications. In addition, it aimed to accelerate progress towards implementation of family medicine practice in typical health units. A further 5 workshops, targeting 120 national nurses, will be conducted sequentially in the remaining 5 selected centres of excellence.
