Health professionals, health directors, deans of the faculties of medicine, veterinary medicine and agriculture and faculty members from Al-Bayda’s Omar Al-Mukhtar University participated in the event which included presentations on Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) awareness among the public and the role of animal health and agriculture in combating AMR.
“The Libya country office considers these activities an essential part of the AMR national action plan which we hope will be endorsed by the end of this month,” said Dr Hussein Jaffar, WHO representative and head of mission.
