The workshop aims at building the capacities of liberal midwives in implementing infection prevention and control measures during their practice to ensure patients’ safety against preventable infections.
Over the next couple of weeks, the Lebanese Order of Midwives will be rolling out other workshops targeting midwives in Bekaa, and in the south and the north of the country. The training will be followed up by visits to the midwives’ clinics to perform on-the-job assessments.
This project falls under WHO’s work in Lebanon to empower midwives, promote reproductive and maternal health and enhance existing services in the country.
