Improving the quality of laboratory services in health care systems is an essential step towards protecting the health of the country's population and strengthening the health care system as a whole. In this context, the programme’s vision aims at supporting public health laboratory services in the Eastern Mediterranean Region ensuring that they are comprehensive and sustained to report accurate, timely and reliable test results for use in clinical and public health settings.
