Al-Duaij stressed the depth and strength of relations between Kuwait and Jordan in various fields, praising bilateral cooperation in the field of health and medical care. The Kuwaiti ambassador praised the role played by Jordan's Royal Medical Services and its optimum use of available resources through medical qualified personnel and modern techniques. He highlighted the importance of benefiting from Jordan's expertise in this area. He also expressed appreciation of Kuwaiti leadership, governance and its people in strengthening relations with Jordan and providing necessary support and aid to the large number of Syrian refugees in Jordan thorough WHO. He praised WHO’s efforts in the humanitarian field.
Dr Al Habashneh praised Kuwait's continued support to Jordan and WHO. He added that Kuwait's financing of the project was clear evidence of fruitful cooperation in the provision of medical and health care.
WHO Representative in Jordan Dr Profili said that the Kuwait Fund's donations to WHO has saved the lives and addressed the health needs of millions of people affected by the conflict in Syria. The much needed funds have been used to provide essential health care – donation of the mobile medical clinics is a good example of this,” Dr Profili added.
WHO thanks Kuwait for the support it has provided to the Organization’s programmes throughout the years.
