Development of Jordan's national action plan for health emergency preparedness and health security

Joint external evaluation is a voluntary, collaborative process, requested by Member States, to assess a country’s capacity under the IHR to prevent, detect and rapidly respond to public health threats whether occurring naturally or due to deliberate or accidental events. The evaluation allows countries to identify the most urgent needs within their health security system; to prioritize opportunities for enhanced preparedness, response and action; and to engage with current and prospective donors and partners to target resources effectively.

For countries assessing Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA)-related capacities, the evaluation tool, with its more comprehensive scope, includes all elements of the GHSA.
