Workshops on monitoring IHR core capacities implementation

Two workshops on monitoring implementation of IHR core capacities were organized by the Regional Office: one in Cairo, Egypt, from 29 March to 1 April 2010; and one in Amman, Jordan, from 25 to 27 April 2010. The workshops, for National IHR Focal Points and relevant stakeholders in the Region, introduced the web-based monitoring tool and trained participants in its use. The workshops also provided training on how to identify gaps in country capacity and on the development of action plans.
