Publication information
The EMHJ is peer-reviewed and published monthly with papers in English, Arabic and French, with abstracts of the papers also in all three languages.
It is available in print and electronic format, and in keeping with the strategic objectives of WHO to make health knowledge accessible, all issues are available free online.
EMHJ also publishes occasional supplements and theme issues.
Supplements are collections of papers/articles on a specific topic of important and current public health relevance to the Region. Supplements are published as an additional separate issue of a volume of the Journal. They are led by a Guest Editor(s) and papers are subject to peer review.
Theme issues are published as part of the EMHJ regular issues and contain a selection of papers/articles on an important public health issue, as well as other non-theme material. The theme content could be managed by a Guest Editor(s) and papers are subject to peer review.
