The First International Conference on Age-friendly Cities took place in Dublin, Ireland, from 28 to 30 September 2011, to strengthen the WHO Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and advance thinking and approaches on how to make cities more age-friendly. It brought together a broad range of stakeholders from the public, private and voluntary sectors in areas such as transport, urban planning, health care, housing, research and academia.
